Only the workshops on glass cutting and on the artistic design of stained-glass windows are open to anyone aged 16 and over.

Cutting Glass
Cutting glass: how does it actually work? Which shapes can be created, which are completely impossible? For what reason? Following a brief explanation of the characteristics of glass and how these make it possible to cut it, you will get to work yourself.
 
This workshop is open to everyone aged 16 and over.

Designing a stained-glass window is a specialised craft that requires specific insights. Drawing on his own artistic experiences and research, Joost Caen guides you towards a unique design that adheres to the principles of stained-glass art. The workshop begins with the basic principles of visual language and covers aspects such as composition, contrast, murality and monumentality.

The workshop can be organised as a single session or spread over several sessions. Participants bring their own paper, drawing materials and, optionally, a watercolour set.

How do you repair broken window glass in an
almost invisible way? What do you need to bear in mind when restoring stained glass? Which adhesives should you use in which situations? These are some of the key points covered in this workshop, designed for professional restorers.
